Reiss Nelson has played down the chances of moving to Hoffenheim permanently in near future. The winger moved to the German club on a season long loan this summer.

Since his arrival in the Bundesliga, the youngster has been a revelation and has already racked up four goals for his side. In five appearances including two from the benches, the teenager has already caught the attention of various clubs and talks of a potential permanent switch has been on the cards already.

He is being compared with his fellow countryman Jadon Sancho who has lit up the German top flight with his goalscoring charts. Sancho recently got a call up to the England national team and Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate is also monitoring the player’s development pretty closely.

Nelson said, “I’m liking the Bundesliga.

“There’s a lot of top, top defenders that you come across.

“It was always going to be a challenge so when I got the offer to come out here I was excited, knowing it was going to be such a big challenge for me.

“As a person and as a player, I wanted to take the next step.

“At the moment I’m very happy here. I’m playing, I’m scoring, but I’m an Arsenal player at the end of the day, so I have to stay and do my job here, then wherever football takes me I’ll go.”
