Sky Sports Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has said that Arsenal are in pole position to sign Denis Suarez.
The Barcelona outcast is eyeing a move out of the club in order to get more game time.
Sky Sports Journalist Dharmesh Sheth has given his views on Denis Suarez’s much-talked-about move to Arsenal and has said that the Gunners are in pole position to sign the Spaniard. The player has previously played under the tutelage of the current Arsenal manager Unai Emery, which could be a major factor for Suarez to make a move to the north London club from Nou Camp. Reportedly, the player is looking to force a move out of Barcelona having fallen down in the pecking order under the tutelage of manager Ernesto Valverde.
Sheth said, “To Arsenal we go and their hopes of signing Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez. Roma and AC Milan are also interested but it appears Suarez would favour a move to Arsenal or stay at Barcelona. Barca are thought to be reluctant to let him go but he has only 18 months left on his contract. He’s found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Nou Camp.”
He added, “He was left out of the 18-man squad for the victory at Getafe on Sunday. Significantly, Suarez has played under Arsenal boss Unai Emery before. The 2014/2015 season he was on loan at Sevilla – Emery then was the boss.”
