RICKIE LAMBERT: West Brom interested in Liverpool striker

West Bromwich Albion are considering making a move for Liverpool striker Rckie Lambert.

Baggies manager Tony Pulis may be resigned to losing Saido Berahino in the summer, with Berahino expressing his desire to play at a higher level.

And with Victor Anichebe also expected to leave the Hawthorns, Pulis is keen to add a new dimension up front.

Lambert has had a nightmare season at Liverpool after a move from Southampton.

He almost joined Aston Villa at the end of the January transfer window, but the move collapsed.

And with Villa boss Tim Sherwood unlikely to resume his interest, West Brom may move in.

It is thought that a bid of just £4m may be enough to convince Liverpool to sell, with manager Brendan Rodgers wanting to launch his own rebuilding job at Anfield.
