However Anfield favourite Robbie Fowler believes that a move to Merseyside would be the Spaniard’s best option, and has told Brendan Rodgers to splash the cash on the midfielder.
The former Leeds and Man City star explained to TalkSport: “Fabregas is a player I’ve always liked. When those kind of players become available you always want to sign them.
“Fabregas is a world-recognised player and he would suit the Liverpool system.”
