Former Arsenal great Robert Pires, believes that the Gunners can win the Premier League, once they sign Sami Khedira, according to the Metro.
Pires, aged 40, who is featuring in the newly-formed Indian Premier League, has stated that Khedira can give Arsenal the cutting edge in which they need.
Khedira, who is a recent World Cup winner with Germany, has been linked with a move to the Emirates from Real Madrid for sometime now.
Reports out of both Germany and Spain, suggest that a possible deal could be done for the centre midfielder to arrive in January.
‘Wenger needs a big player in the middle [to win the title], somebody strong, tall and to balance attack and defence,’ Pires explained.
‘They have an opportunity with Khedira. He has a lot of experience and you need that to play in the middle, especially for Arsenal’.
