Manchester United players were involved in a emergency meeting after their 5-3 defeat at the hands of newly-promoted, Leicester City.

Red Devils striker, Robin Van Persie, revealed in a recent interview that the players got together before training the next day after their shock collapse and discussed what went wrong and where they should go in the future.

United were 3-1 up at The King Power Stadium, but a second-half collapse saw them concede four goals in quick succession and left them deflated and down to 10-men.

The next morning at training, Van Persie has admitted that a hear-felt meeting was organised and the players discussed everything that went wrong.

Van Persie said: “It’s the right way forward as you have to speak about the good things you do but also in the areas you can improve, which is what we did the next day.

“Everyone came in and we had a long meeting about the game. It was a really good meeting as everyone spoke up and shared their feelings.

“We’ve had a good few sessions now and everyone’s feeling very positive now ahead of the game against West Ham.

“Everyone’s on the same page.”
