Queens Park Rangers boss says he wouldn’t be surprised by departure

As Liverpool prepare to host Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, The Hoops boss Chris Ramsey has admitted that he wouldn’t be surprised if Brendan Rodgers loses his job this Summer.

The Reds are set to miss out on Champions League football and are going to go yet another season without a trophy after their shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Aston Villa at Wembley in the Semi-Final.

Poor Premier League Results

Over the past month or so, Rodgers‘ side have lost massive games to Manchester United and Arsenal, then failed to beat West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, leaving them seven points behind fourth place.

After finishing second last season, expectations were high around Anfield, but this season has failed to deliver and Ramsey has admitted that he wouldn’t be surprised to see Rodgers sacked at the end of the campaign.

Ramsey predicts Sacking

Ramsey said: “I don’t know if he’ll get much more time and, ultimately, with the pressure cooker of football, statistically managers don’t stay in their jobs very long.

“He has done a good job. He’s a young man and for what he has achieved and how he has influenced the game in England and his bravery, it has been remarkable and the flak that he’s getting is unwarranted.

“In August he’s going to be a tactical genius again when Liverpool win their first three of four games.”

Ramsey takes his QPR men to Anfield in search for a much-needed three points, but with their away record this season, things don’t look good for the London club.
