Rodgers ready to rotate The Reds

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed his plans to rotate his side so that the fringe-players can get more minutes on the pitch.

Rodgers is a fan of rotation and especially enjoys adapting formations in order to fit in the players he wants to use.

For last weekend’s 4-0 victory over Fulham, The Reds lined up in a 4-3-3 formation with Daniel Agger replacing Kolo Toure so that the Ivorian could regain match fitness.

Squad depth is always spoken about in the Premier League and with the busy festive schedule ahead of him, Rodgers has already admitted that rotation is likely to take place at Anfield over the next few weeks.

He told the club’s official website: “I just decided to change it (on Saturday).

“I have said to the players that between now and January we have one game a week.

“The players are working very well and very hard on a daily basis but I need to give oxygen to some players, so they can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

“It is important that I use the players well.

“Kolo has been sensational since he has been in but Daniel Agger is a top player. I just need to balance the team out when I can.”
