Rodgers to replace Mourinho

Brendan Rodgers is now one of the favourites to replace under pressure Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The former Liverpool man left Anfield earlier this month and has been linked to the Aston Villa job .He is no stranger to the Bridge after working there as a youth coach.

However a dramatic turn of events have seen his odds to become next Chelsea manager slashed from 20/1 to 7/1. He is now among favourites to replace Jose Mourinho.

Others linked to the job include Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone. Both managers currently have clubs meaning they wouldn’t be able to discuss term’s as quick as Chelsea would like.

Rodgers would be keen to take the job and rebuild his reputation.

The Northern Irish man had a poor start to the season prior to being sacked by the club.
