Colombian sensation James Rodriquez is set for a £40 million summer move to Real Madrid, if the Champions League winners can sell winger Angel Di Maria.

The Monaco winger has enjoyed a superb World Cup finals, scoring five goals for the South American nation, as they have reached the quarter finals of the tournament in Brazil.

However, any move to Madrid would hinge up on Los Blancos selling Angel Di Maria.

Di Maria has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Manchester United all sniffing around for the Argentine winger.

Rodriquez stated that he would love a dream to Spain, after hinting on a Spanish radio station that Real would be his choice.

‘It would be a dream to play in Spain, one of the best leagues in the world,’ he told Cadena Cope.

When asked whether he would prefer Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or Real Madrid, Rodriguez said: ‘I prefer Real Madrid.’

The winger only signed for French side Monaco last year in a £45 million deal from Portuguese side FC Porto.
