Argentine defender Marcos Rojo sealed his move to the Premier League last month following a long disagreement between Sporting Lisbon and third-party owners, Doyen Sports.
The delay has caused problems for Rojo and its knock-on effect is that he will not be able to make his debut for the Red Devils until he is granted a work permit.
But the 24 year-old has revealed his excitement in joining United and is looking forward to life in England.
The World Cup finalist said: “I am very happy to have the chance to play in such an important team in the world.
“It really means a lot to me. I want to enjoy this moment because it’s a dream come true.
“At Manchester there is a lot of quality, from the players to the training pitches.
“Before agreeing to sign for Manchester I spoke a lot with Veron, he suggested a few things to me.”
