Romelu Lukaku plotting Everton stay?

On-loan Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that if he can help The Toffees gain Champions League qualification next season, he may sign for them permanently.

Currently on a season-long loan at Goodison Park from Chelsea, Lukaku has become a real hit in Merseyside, especially after his brace against rivals Liverpool last weekend in the 3-3 thriller.

The Belgium’s tally of seven league goals has guided Roberto Martinez’s men to seventh in the table, and in a recent interview, he has admitted that if they can get into the top-four, he’d be open to a permanent move.

“It’s not a bad idea. If we play Champions League, yeah, why not?” said Lukaku when asked if he would stay.

“I was watching the games this week and I miss European football a lot.

“I would like to be successful at Chelsea but I have to work and grow and be a better player and then at the end of the season see what is the best decision for my career.”
