Roy Hodgson refuses to comment on Tammy Abraham links

Chelsea’s U21 star of Nigerian descent, Tammy Abraham, has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace in recent weeks. The 21-year-old has been in blistering form on his loan spell in the Championship at Aston Villa, scoring 12 goals from 16 games.

If reports are to be believed, Chelsea are keen on offloading Abraham in January, with Newcastle United and Crystal Palace mentioned as the potential destinations. However, Abraham is not the only player to be linked with a move to Selhurst Park, with Victor Moses and Liverpool youngster Dominic Solanke also attracting interest from the Eagles.

Palace managed to breathe life into their faltering Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Leicester City last week and moved up to 15th in the standings. Rou Hodgson’s men have struggled to hit the ground running this term, scoring 14 goals from 17 games so far.

But Hodgson, one of the most experienced managers in the Premier League, has refused to comment on any such links. ‘’This is the time when players get linked to football clubs. Any goalscorer who may or may not be available will be linked with us. I won’t comment on links,’’ Hodgson told the national press in England.
