Arsenal is the first choice of Chile and Barcelona star Alexis Sanchez as it looks increasingly likely the player will move this summer.
It is understood that Barcelona would be willing to add Sanchez to any deal to capture Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, but Sanchez has said to the club he is not so keen on moving to Anfield this summer.
This has alerted Manchester United and Arsenal who are both willing to battle it out for the Chilean star, but it appears that Arsenal are now the front-runners to sign Sanchez once the World Cup is over.
According to reports in Spain Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will bid £28m so sign Sanchez in the coming days following Chile’s exit of the World Cup.
Barcelona undoubtedly have their hands full as they step up the chase for Suarez, but it seems that one way or the other Sanchez could depart in the near future, with Arsenal increasingly in the driving seat to land the player.
