Shane Duffy has said that Chris Hughton has taken Brighton and Hove Albion to the next level.
The Seagulls are unbeaten in their last three matches and have fought valiantly against sides like Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United.
Brighton and Hove Albion defender Shane Duffy has said that manager Chris Hughton has taken the Seagulls to a new level in terms of performance in recent times. The Seagulls did not lose a match in their last three outings and are looking to make amends for their poor performance at the start of the season. They have earned five points in their last three matches, with two draws against Arsenal and West Ham United and a narrow win over Everton in the Premier League, which has taken them to the 13th spot on the league table.
The Brighton defensive ace said, “I’ve had a few managers at this club, and he’s definitely up there with the best I’ve had in my career.”
He added, “It’s massive to have him at the club. He’s been massive for my development. I think I’ve come on leaps and bounds since he’s been in charge. I’ve become more and more consistent and he’s calmed me down as a player. A few years ago I was getting a lot of bookings and I’ve calmed down recently. That’s probably down to talking to and learning off him, because he was a defender too.”
