Stoke City are poised to finalise a £12 million pound deal to sign Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan.
Shaqiri has agreed personal terms and passed a medical at the Britannia Stadium, one year after joining Milan from German giants Bayern Munich.
The Switzerland international was subject of failed bids from Stoke last summer as the winger opted to move to Italy instead.
It is understood that the deal has taken longer than anticipated due to Bayern Munich previously including a number of sell-on clauses in the player’s contract.
The Switzerland international will become Stoke’s twelve summer signing and could be in line to make his debut against Tottenham.
