Gylfi Sigurdsson has said that the Everton players are in love with working under Marco Silva.

The Iceland midfield star has been one of the key players in Everton’s decent show in the Premier League this season so far.

Everton midfield ace Gylfi Sigurdsson is of the opinion that Marco Silva has brought in a feel-good factor at Goodison Park and that the Everton players love to work with him. The player was speaking to the club website ahead of their clash against the Portuguese gaffer’s former side Watford and said that the Merseyside club is going in the right direction under the tutelage of Silva.

Sigurdsson said, “I think if you ask any of the players, they are enjoying working with the new manager.” He added, “He wants us to play attacking football, to work hard without the ball and press. There is a good understanding within the players.”

Everton are currently in the seventh spot in the league table and are looking to beat the Hornets in their next encounter, which will help them leapfrog Manchester United and get to the sixth position. The Iceland international also hailed the new signings by Silva and said, “The new players have been fantastic. They have helped us score lot of goals, with a lot of creativity going forward and speed.”

He also added, “I think all the players who have come in – not just the attacking players, the centre-halves and Lucas as well – have been fantastic and fitted in really well. They suit the way the manager wants us to play. It feels natural playing with the guys now and that comes with the work we’ve been doing on the training pitch.”
