Wesley Sneijder has finally put to bed any speculation surrounding a proposed move to Manchester United, reports the Daily Express.

The Dutch international was previously linked with a move to United, which would have seen him link up with his former manager Louis Van Gaal.

Sneijder, who is currently the captain of Turkish club Galatasaray, has stated that he is happy at the Istanbul based outfit, and has no intention of leaving Turkey for England.

He told AMK: “It is great to hear that Van Gaal is interested in me, he is a footballing genius.

“However, I doubt Manchester United could tempt me to leave Galatasaray right now, I don’t see it happening.

There was also speculation that he could be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, however the midfielder has his eyes only set on domestic glory with Galatasaray.

“Everything is going well for me in Istanbul, I have settled into life in Turkey and feel at home.

“I don’t even know why we keep talking about this.

“I am a Galatasaray player, we want to win the league title and Galatasaray will not be letting me go for a cheap price.

“It is very unlikely that any deal will happen.
