Star's Return Hands Tottenham Major Boost Ahead Of CL Final

Tottenham Hotspur have received a huge boost ahead of what might be their most important game in the club’s history, the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Three of Spurs’ first-team stars, Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez has returned to training after recovering from their respective injuries.

Kane went down to an ankle ligament injury in the quarterfinals of the competition against Manchester City. The Englishman’s season was thought to be over but he suprised many with his return to the training pitch on Thursday.

Vertonghen was a huge concern as well after suffering a near concussion during the first leg of the semi-finals against Ajax. The Belgian played the second leg but he was seen leaving in crutches with his left foot tied covered by a protective boot.

With nearly two weeks still left for the final at the Wanda Metropolitana, Mauricio Pochettino could have a fully fit squad to choose from. Tottenham have definitely missed Kane in their attacking lineup but the sheer perseverance of the entire squad has seen the team march their way to their first ever Champions League final.

Lucas Moura took up the 25-year-old’s spot in the semi-finals and scored the hat-trick to put his team past Ajax at the Johan Cryuff Arena. Pochettino will have a difficult time leaving out the Brazilian from his starting lineup after the performance he put up on that historic night.
