Liverpool striker reveals there is no issue

Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge has revealed that there are no issues in the relationship between himself and his boss, Jurgen Klopp.

Thw 26-year-old has been benched numerous times over the recent weeks since he returned from a long spell out injured, Divock Origi was preferred to him in both Europa League games against Borussia Dortmund in April, while in the game against Villarreal last Thursday, he was dropped again for Roberto Firmino.

Sturridge told the Daily Mail: “Our relationship is OK, there are no problems on my part.

“I’ve never said a bad word about the boss and never will say a bad word about the manager because he’s the manager of Liverpool FC and he’s the voice of the club.”
Sturridge has revealed recently that he is frustrated by the lack of starts, and he has hinted that he could walk away from the club if things don’t change.

He added: “There are things I want to achieve with Liverpool.

“I would never say I am Liverpool until I die, because I would be lying.

“I think any player who says, ‘Oh yeah, this is the only team I will play for, for the rest of my life’, they are deluded.

“In football, every team looks for replacements every single year.

“I am so ambitious, so hungry, right now for success that it is hard to put it into words.

“Now I’m in a place where I feel amazing, and I feel ready.”
