Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villa-Boas has revealed that he has full backing of the board at White Hart Lane despite reports suggesting that he is close to losing his job for the second time in London.

The former-Porto boss was sacked by Chelsea before getting the Spurs job and now in the wake of a 6-0 thrashing to rivals Manchester City, there are fierce reports claiming that Villas-Boas has lost the dressing room.

According to reports, players of Tottenham Hotspur were not happy with Boas’ interview after their thrashing at the weekend.

The Portuguese-man said that his players were an embarrassment and pathetic on the field, comments which riled his players.

However, he has told the media that he has full backing of the club’s board, despite the poor start to the campaign.

“I have the confidence of the board and players and I have to move on to do a proper job.”

“The only conversation [the board and I] had recently was two or three days ago,” Villas-Boas added.

“The board is of the same opinion that everything went wrong and we hope to get some response in the future.

“It was an ordinary meeting. We only spoke very briefly about the game.”

“I am immune [to criticism] right now. I used to read a lot into situations like this, into pressure points when I was at Chelsea, but not any more. I am very indifferent.”
