On-loan Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he will make an announcement next week regarding his future.
The Belgium shot-stopper hasn’t played a single game for The Blues yet and has spent the last three seasons in Spain with Madrid, and a permanent move may finally be on the cards this Summer if he chooses against playing for Jose Mourinho.
Courtois has told Mourinho on many occasions that he will only stay at Stamford Bridge if he can promise him first-team football, rather than being a back-up for current number-one Petr Cech, as so it seems, Cech is still fancied by Mourinho over the young Belgium.
The 21-year-old was superb in between the sticks on Tuesday night in the Champions League against FC Barcelona, and after the game he admitted that his decision will be announced soon.
“Next week I will announce my decision,” he said.
“I am not going to say if I will stay or not.
“What I will say is that next week I will announce my decision.”
