Tim Krul considering summer move

Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul is considering his future at the club, with Tottenham, AC Milan and Juventus all interested in making moves for him. Boss Alan Pardrew is expected to sort out his club this summer but he doesn’t plan on selling the keeper.

However it may be out of his hands, with Krul seriously considering leaving Newcastle, the club he has been with since 2005. The player believes his career to be at a crossroads and he was left devastated when he was left out of a recent Holland squad and there are big question marks as to whether he will be on the plane to Brazil this summer.

He is also missing out on European football and that too could spell the end for his time at the Toon. A source close to the goalkeeper said:

“Tim enjoys playing for Newcastle but at the same time, he wants to win trophies and play at the highest level. He has some important decisions to make about his future and knows if he did leave, there would be no shortage of clubs wanting to sign him.”

AC Milan, who are now coached by Krul’s fellow Dutchman Clarence Seedorf, have been watching him throughout this season as have Juventus. There has even been talk in Spain of a possible Barcelona move for him, as they face losing both Victor Valdes and Jose Pinto. Tottenham are another club keeping an eye on the situation and they will make a move if they end up losing Hugo Lloris to PSG this summer.

The in-demand keeper has two years left on his current deal and would cost about ÂŁ10m and it could tempt Newcastle to cash in. Plus, Alan Pardrew believes understudy Rob Elliot is now ready for his time in the first team.

So, come this summer, we could see the end of Krul’s time at Newcastle and see numerous clubs fight it out to claim his signature.
