Tom Cleverley will remain at Manchester United, reports Sky Sports News.
The 25 year old centre midfielder was heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and was a transfer target of both Aston Villa and Everton.
However, Everton were unable to force through a deal, with Roberto Martinez wanting to loan the 25 year old.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa were unable to make a move of their own, despite an ÂŁ8 million bid, with Cleverley’s wages deemed to be the problem.
Cleverley has been deemed surplus to requierments at Old Trafford, after becoming a bit of a scapegoat at United, with Cleverley set to battle it out for one final season at the Red Devils.
