Tomas Rosicky confirms contract talks

Arsenal midfielder, Tomas Rosicky, has confirmed that he will sit down with the club to discuss a new contract over the Summer.

In a recent interview, the Czech midfielder admitted that he considered leaving The Gunners during the January transfer window but was convinced to stay by Arsene Wenger.

Rosicky, who is one of the club’s longest serving players, has only started five Premier League games this season, but since the turn of the new year, he’s been featuring more regularly and has admitted that he may now sign an extension.

The 34-year-old said: “Arsenal and me is still an option for next season, they have everything in their hands.

“When I get back from the national team, we begin to deal with it.”

Rosicky’s current deal expires in 2016, but the club have the opportunity to extend it by a further year.
