Tottenham Hotspur are currently leading the charts in Premier League awards this year.
Heung-min Son has been named the Player Of The Year and Mauricio Pochettino the Manager Of The Year.
The South Korean international has scored 19 league goals in the 2019 calendar year to clinch the award. This becomes Tottenham’s second consecutive year winning this particular category after Harry Kane was awarded with the trophy in 2018.
Son has been in sublime form for the Spurs all season, especially so since the break of the new year. He has struck the back of the net 6 times in the past 10 games while also upholding his duties for his country in the Asian Cup.
Pochettino has been rewarded as well for his efforts in converting the North London outfit into a title contending side. He saw the team through a third place last term and looks likely to do the same this year.
The Argentine boss has also secured Champions League football in the 3 years out of the 4 he has been in charge of Tottenham. He also carried out a tactical masterclass last month to thump Borussia Dortmund 0-3 in the first leg of the Round Of 16 tie at Signal Iduna Park.
However, the team has been slipping lately, losing to 2-0 against a low morale Chelsea side midweek. Pochettino faces a new challenge as they are due to take on their arch-rivals, Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday.
