Spurs want to take Liverpool starlet
Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Liverpool starlet Jordan Rossiter and could use his current contract situation to their advantage.
The young midfielder, who has been dubbed the new Steven Gerrard, is set to become a free agent in the summer as his contract is about to expire, and Spurs could make their move.
Rossiter has yet to hold contract talks with Jurgen Klopp or Anfield officials, meaning he can talk to overseas clubs next month and agree to a contract in principle.
Rossiter Set for Free Transfer?
It’s believed Liverpool do want to keep Rossiter, but if they don’t make their move quickly, they could end up losing him for free.
The 18-year-old graduated from Liverpool’s academy and is considered a fan-favourite because of his upbringing in the youth team, but with just six months left on his contract, he could be shown the exit door.
Spurs are known for blooding youngsters, with Dele Alli and Eric Dier two fine examples this season, and Rossiter could become another potential gem for them.
