Nigerian international winger is a proposed summer transfer target for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur have made an £8m bid for Chelsea outcast, Victor Moses, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Lilywhites view Moses as an ideal replacement for Andros Townsend, who looks set to leave White Hart Lane for regular first-team football – with Southampton keen on the midfielder.

Moses, aged 24, has spent the last two Premier League seasons at Stoke City and Liverpool respectively.

Having spent the 2014/15 term in the Potteries, where he made 19 appearances for Mark Hughes’ Stoke side, Moses is now keen on a permanent return to London.

TOWNSEND REPLACEMENT?

Should Townsend complete a £15m move away from North London, as he seeks a return to the England fold, then manager Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing Moses as a like-for-like replacement.

Moses has rarely featured for the Stamford Bridge club, since signing from Wigan Athletic in 2012 – however it is unlikely that Chelsea will sell to an immediate, fierce rival.
