Spurs interested in Reds skipper
Tottenham Hotspur are considering a shock £25million bid for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, according to reports.
With Mauricio Pochettino guiding Spurs to a genuine title-challenge, the board want to back him financially in the summer in order to push even further next season, and Henderson is a reported target.
Pochettino is believed to be a huge admirer of the Liverpool midfielder and could launch a formal offer worth around £25m, according to reports.
Spurs currently have the likes of Dele Alli and Eric Dier in the midfielder, but Pochettino wants to add competition for places ahead of next season.
Shock Deal
It’s looking very unlikely that Liverpool will look to sell their captain, but if a formal offer of around £25m does come in, with Jurgen Klopp expected to bring in several new faces, a shock deal could be on the cards.
A positive for the White Hart Lane club is the fact they will be able to offer Henderson Champions League football next season, something Liverpool won’t be able to do as they look set to miss out on top-four.
However, Klopp‘s side could win the Europa League this season which would automatically book their place in next season’s Champions League.
