Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck, after Daniel Levy has been less than impressed with Summer signing Roberto Soldado.

Spurs spent around ÂŁ26million on the Spanish striker from Valencia, but he has failed to continue his goalscoring form in England, and has recently been dropped for youth player Harry Kane, who has now scored three goals in three games.

However, Levy is prepared to splash out another ÂŁ20m, but this time on a proven Premier League striker, Danny Welbeck.

The North-London club are keen to add Premier League experience to their team, and Welbeck is top of Levy’s wishlist, with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku also an option.

It may be a Summer of change for Tottenham as they prepare to get rid of current manager Tim Sherwood, and they also prepare to overhaul their failing squad from this season.
