Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer £20million for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgium international could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this Summer on a permanent move after he admitted that his future is uncertain at the West London club, and their near-rivals are now ready to make a formal offer as they search for a clinical finisher.
Spurs strikers failed to impress at White Hart Lane last season, as both Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor failed to develop impressive tallies, and with Pochettino the new manager, the search for a Premier League proven striker continues.
Lukaku, who didn’t have the best World Cup for Belgium, has been superb for West Bromwich Albion and Everton respectively on loan spells in the past two seasons, but is considering a permanent move away due to Jose Mourinho signing Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.
Mourinho spent the majority of last season complaining about his strike-force, and a move to Tottenham could favour Lukaku as he dreams of playing Champions League football, which Spurs will want to bring back to the club.
