United are interested in signing Danny Rose this summer

Manchester United will be looking to sign a new left back in the summer transfer window as Luke Shaw is expected to leave the club at the end of the season. Jose Mourinho has heavily criticized Shaw this season and he now looks certain to move on.

United have been linked with host of left-backs recently which includes Tottenham’s Danny Rose. Mourinho is a long time admirer of him and he could be available in the summer transfer window.

Rose has struggled this season due to injuries and Mauricio Pochettino prefers Ben Davies ahead of him in the starting line up which led to reports that the 27 year old may want to leave the club for more playing time. But the manager is reluctant to sell him unless he gets a decent back up.

Manchester United will have to offer £40 million and Luke Shaw to land Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, according to The Sun.

According to reports, Pochettino willing to let Rose go only if Shaw is involved in the deal. Both of them worked together at Southampton for 18 months and the 22 year old has admitted that he would love to link up with the Argentine once again.

Even if Spurs boss agrees to the deal but the club won’t be easy to deal with. Both Manchester United and Tottenham have transfer history, falling out over Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov’s moves to Old Trafford. Club chief Daniel Levy could be persuaded but it is believed that the deals for the full-backs will have to be on Londoner’s terms.
