Trophies will come with belief, says Walcott

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott believes titles are just around the corner for the club, especially with their self-belief.

The Gunners extended their winning streak on Wednesday night after they beat French side Marseille in the Champions League, which also extended their winning streak away from home to ten games, a club record.

Many people are suggesting that Arsenal’s change in fortune came when they beat Bayern Munich last year in Germany and since then, they have only lost one Premier League game and that came on the opening day of the season at home to Aston Villa.

After that defeat, Arsenal have looked a different side and Walcott believes the self-belief in the camp can lead them to silverware.

“We’ve got players who are playing fantastically well,” Walcott said. “There is so much belief in this team at the moment and I think it’s showing. We just need to push on and make sure we get that home form going now; the away form is absolutely fantastic.

“Someone told me in the dressing room it’s 10 successive wins away from home – it’s a record. To be part of a team that has done that, in the amount of years that Arsenal have existed, is agreat honour and a great achievement for everyone. It just shows how talented these players are.”
