Manchester United are set to give youth prodigy Tyler Blackett a new contract which will see his weekly pay rocket up to £50k-a-week.
The 20-year-old, who has been thrown into the first-team this season under Louis Van Gaal, currently earns £2k-a-week, but after becoming a regular in the back-line due to injuries, United are now prepared to offer him a new lucrative deal.
Blackett has made six appearances already for Van Gaal and despite the club still leaking goals, officials behind the scenes are working on a new contract for the 20-year-old, which will see his weekly-pay go up by 2,500%.
It’s believed Van Gaal has high hopes for Blackett and thinks he will be a concrete figure in the first-team for years to come, and that is the reason behind the new contract and the major increase in wage.
