Manchester United are working hard on a deal for Borussia Dortmund defender, Mats Hummels.
Louis Van Gaal was desperate to sign the German international during the Summer, but after being made captain at Dortmund, the defender made it clear that he wanted to stay in Germany.
However, that hasn’t put United off, and according to reports, officials at the club are already working on a deal to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford.
According to reports in Spain, Hummels is keen on a new contract worth mega-money, which Dortmund are stalling on, giving United the opportunity to offer him big-money in order to join them, with the English side also prepared to pay £40million on transfer fees.
United have been leaking goals this season and are desperate for a rock-solid centre-back to help sure up things at the back, and Hummels is clearly the man Van Gaal wants.
