United leading race for Juve striker
Manchester United are reportedly leading a 3-horse Premier League race for Juventus’ Alvaro Morata.
It’s thought that initially, his old club Real Madrid will be buying him back this summer, initiating a ÂŁ23.3 buyback clause in his contract. However, instead of keeping him, it’s thought they will ship him off for a profit, most likely to the Premier League.
It’s thought that Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the striker, and will be looking to buy him if and when he secures the Manchester United job this summer. He gave the forward his competitive debut in 2010, and enjoyed a successful relationship the other day.
Antonio Conte, Chelsea’s new boss, is also interested, as he was the man who brought Morata to Juventus after he fell down the pecking order at the Bernabau, however, despite this, United are still the favourites.
