Manchester United are close to completing the signing for Fiorentina and Colombia star Juan Cuadrado.
United boss Van Gaal has personaly ordered officials at Old Trafford to quickly complete a deal to sign the winger, as he prepares his challenge for the title next season.
The 26 year-old player has been in advanced talks with Barcelona which has prompted Van Gaal to order United officials to act swiftly and race ahead of the Spanish giants.
A £31 million pound deal has been lodged and United now face an anxious wait whether they get the green light to begin talks with Cuadrado.
The Colombian is seen as the ideal signing for United as he can play as a right-back aswell as a winger, making him perfect for the wing-back role in Van Gaal’s new 3-4-3 formation
United are also hopeful of completing deals for Thomas Vermaelen and Mats Hummels in the coming weeks.
