The Red Devils have been put on red alert by the news that Edinson Cavani is reportedly contemplating his future at Paris Saint-Germain.

The Uruguayan striker is said to be unhappy at coach Laurent Blanc’s unwillingness to give him a run in his favoured position as a centre-forward.

Cavani is often deployed wide-right in a front three with Zlatan Ibrahimovic very much the main man at Parc des Princes.

The former Napoli man is preparing to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer, and United are one of a number of clubs who are monitoring the situation.

According to Italian publication Calciomercato, Cavani is being tracked by AC Milan, Real Madrid and the Red Devils.

Cavani has instructed his representatives to find him a new club after this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, where he will come up against Roy Hodgson’s England.

However, with PSG having shelled out the best part of ÂŁ55m to snare the player from Napoli in 2012, the hitman is unlikely to come cheap for David Moyes.

Cavani has scored 21 goals for the Parisians this season, and Blanc’s side are currently six points clear at the top of their domestic league.
