Manchester United are preparing to make their loan capture of Radamel Falcao a permanent deal to add to their impressive cohort of forwards in the long term.
The transfer comes despite concerns over his long-term fitness – Van Gaal himself saying Falcao was only fit for 20 minutes just a few weeks ago.
Recent fitness tests on the 28-year old have revealed that he is ‘fully up to scratch physically’ and that Falcao is now able to ‘withstand the rigours of modern football.’
Contact has reportedly already been made between Falcao’s agent, Jorge Mendes, and Monaco’s vice-chairman over a deal which could be completed in the next few days.
