Manchester United and their fans alike have been left in despair after it has been revealed that the club were offered World Cup star James Rodriguez for just £5 million pounds.
Instead, the club brought in major-flop Bebe who has failed to even break into the first-team more than twice.
United turned down the chance to secure the signing of wonderkid Rodriguez as he was offered to Sir Alex Ferguson due to his South American intermediaries when the midfielder was a promising teenager.
However The Red Devils decided to take a chance on Vitoria Guimaraes striker Bebe, and Ferguson signed the Portugese for £7.8m less than five weeks after the Rodriguez deal was put forward to Ferguson.
Nowaday there is a significant difference between the two players, with Bebe being shipped out on loan almost every season and Rodriguez currently setting the World alight with his fantastic performances at this year’s World Cup.
