The midfielder is wanted by both Chelsea and Man United
Valencia have dealt a huge blow to Chelsea and Man United by claiming they want £51.5m for Andre Gomes.
The Portugal international is in high demand at the moment, with several teams from the Premier League, Serie A and other European leagues keeping a close eye on him.
Juventus were looking the most likely to seal a deal for him, as the Italian side have identified him as one of their main targets for the summer transfer window. The club were believed to be offering around £21m for him and were hopeful a deal could be put in place.
However, Valencia are now aware of increasing interest in the 22-year old and with Chelsea and Man United now keen to sign him, the Spanish club have upped their asking price to a whopping £51.5m.
It’s a massive amount of money but it may be a fee that all of the three clubs are willing to pay for the midfielder.
Man United failed in previous bids for Gomes
Gomes has impressed for Valencia in La Liga and Man United have been tracking the player for quite some time now and they are continuing to like what they see.
The club has failed in its previous bids for the Portugal man but could be willing to pay the large amount of money needed to finally seal a deal for him. Chelsea too are now interested in Gomes, with Conte looking to bring in as many top-class players as he can.
With the player’s agent continuing to look for a move away for the player, it seems as if Gomes could be leaving Spain behind this summer and turning to either Italy or the Premier League.
