Marco Van Ginkel has admitted that he views his long term future at Chelsea, despite being on loan at Italian side AC Milan, reports the Daily Star.

The Dutch midfielder signed for the Serie A club on a season long loan deal on deadline day, joining Chelsea striker Fernando Torres at the San Siro, with Torres also on loan at Milan.

And the youngster is enjoying his football at the club so much, but he is delighted that Chelsea did not put a clause in his loan contract that would allow Milan to sign him permanently.

AC Milan wanted me for a long time and did everything to get me,” the 21-year-old told the Milan Channel.

“That is good for a player to know. We play with two attacking midfielders and a defensive one. I think I am more of an attacking one.

“I think Italian football suits me. Milan is a great club, even though we won’t play in the Champions League this year, so I am fine here.

“Right now I am focused entirely on Milan, but I’m happy with the fact that Chelsea didn’t put an option to buy in the loan.”
