Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen is reportedly being traced by European giants Barcelona.
According to Spanish media, Barca will turn to the Belgian should they miss out on their number 1 defensive target this summer, Marquinhos of PSG. Vertonghen’s future at Whie Hart Lane has been uncertain for some time now, since his agent Mustapha Nakil admitted that ‘several teams’ had enquired about him.
He moved from Ajax to play in the Premier League for Spurs in the summer of 2012, but has made his desire to play Champions League football no secret, something he has been unable to do so far during his time in North London.
