The shot-stopper wants out of Old Trafford

Victor Valdes spell at Manchester United looks to have taken another step towards the end after the Spaniard had further disagreements with Louis van Gaal.

It is believed that he must now train with the under 21s, to the point that if he attempts to turn up for a first team training session he will be fined.

The World Cup winner joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in January, but after reportedly refusing to play for the reserves team, he had an argument with van Gaal.

The Dutchman insisted that Valdes would never play for the club again and was true to his word. Following his two appearances for United, the former Barcelona ‘keeper is now down the pecking order behind David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Sam Johnstone.

The 33-year old almost left in the summer, however, he remained in the Premier League after a deal with Besiktas fell through.

Valdes will now be hoping he can materialise a permanent switch elsewhere in the upcoming winter transfer window.
