Arturo Vidal has told close friends he wants to quit Juventus for Manchester United, according to reports in Italy.
Journalist Mario Giunta revealed on Italian TV that Vidal, who starred for Chile in this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, is seeking a new challenge in the Premier League.
Juventus insist that Vidal is staying, while United have been chasing him all summer. There have been reports that they spoke to the Italian club about a five year deal worth ÂŁ200,000 per week, though no official offer has yet been made.
An instagram post yesterday appeared to suggest he wanted to stay at Juventus, but the Italian media have since confirmed the account was fake.
