Spanish side keen on United defender
Spanish side Villarreal are thought to be keen on signing Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.
Rojo joined United under the reign of Louis van Gaal 2 summers ago, after impressing at the World Cup. However, he has struggled to find great form at Old Trafford and has also endured his fair share of injury problems.
Rojo fell out of favour under Louis van Gaal last season, starting only 25 games in all competitions while he has started just 35 Premier League games across his two seasons with United.
Marca report that one potential stumbling block could be United’s asking price as they are keen to recoup much of their outlay on the 26-year-old.
Last month it was claimed by One World Sports that the Red Devils wanted £9.75m for the defender. Villarreal do have Champions League football this season, so a move to Spain for Rojo certainly wouldn’t be considered to be a huge step down.
