Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, has picked his ‘Manchester United five-a-side team’, with four attack-minded players being included alongside him.
The Red Devils captain was talking to the club’s official website and was asked about who would make it into his United five-a-side ultimate team, and when stating if he didn’t have to pick a goalkeeper, he picked four of his attacking team-mates.
By snubbing a goalkeeper, there was no room for David De Gea, who impressed during the club’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal on Saturday evening, but there was plenty of room for the club’s most expensive signings.
Rooney told manutd.com: “Do you have to have a goalkeeper? If not, I’ll go for Angel [Di Maria], [Radamel] Falcao, Robin [van Persie] and [Juan] Mata.”
Some team that would be on a five-a-side pitch…..although their defending may need a bit of work.
