Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini believes it is vital that he and his team-mates remain focused over the Christmas period, especially with tricky games coming their way.
The Gunners travel to Napoli on Wednesday night in a crucial Champions League fixture, before returning to England and facing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, which is some-what of a fortress for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
After that, Arsene Wenger’s side then have to host Chelsea, before travelling to West Ham United and Newcastle United before the New Year and Flamini admits that it is vital all the players stay focused on their goal of being top come January.
“It is a great feeling (to be five points clear), but the championship is long and we still have a lot of teams to play.
“Now it is important just to focus on game after game, because we have another big match away to Napoli, and then play at Manchester City, so everything goes very quick in the championship, especially when you have so many games.
“It is going to be a busy period for us and we just have to focus.
“These are all big games, the ones you want to play in, and everyone is excited to be playing in them”.
