Arsenal will not sell injury-hit Oxlade-Chamberlain to Chelsea

Arsene Wenger has rubbished reports linking Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with a move to London rivals Chelsea.

The 22-year-old has been seen as a replacement for Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge, with the Belgium international being linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has made 24 appearances for the Gunners this season as they look to secure their first league title since 2004, with one of their most promising title-chasing campaigns.

Hampered by injuries

The former Southampton winger has struggled with injuries and Wenger believes the England international is struggling with confidence.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of numerous injuries Arsene Wenger has had to contend with and the winger will be desperate to impress in the second half of the season as he eyes a place in England’s Euro 2016 squad this summer.

Wenger was also forced to deny rumours linking the Gunners with in-form Watford striker Troy Deeney. According to the Hornets frontman, his Arsenal-supporting son has been left disappointed that the rumours have not yet become reality.
