Jonny Evans has been linked with a move to Arsenal with Manchester City also interested in the player.
The 26-year-old is seen as a replacement to Vincent Kompany by Pep Guardiola while Arsene Wenger would like an addition to his back three.
It was believed that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the defender and were also willing to give Debuchy as a part of the deal.

However, Wenger refused to confirm whether the Gunners have a struck a deal for the West Brom defender. He suggested that City have a better chance of signing the player.
Speaking ahead of the Carabo semi-final with Chelsea, Wenger said, “We don’t have an agreement with anybody. I think the best thing is not to talk. To see off any interest of any other club, yes. I don’t know if Manchester City are in for anybody. I don’t know what their policy is.”
“If the decision comes to finances against Manchester City, we know we will be second best.”
